What's Included

The Tickets+ package provides access to the museum along with a 30-minute introductory program available in English. This session highlights Anne Frank’s story against the backdrop of World War II and Jewish persecution, helping visitors gain deeper insight before exploring the museum. Recommended for ages 10 and above.

Getting Here

The Anne Frank House is situated in central Amsterdam at Prinsengracht 263–267, with the entrance at Westermarkt 20. It’s about a 20-minute walk from Central Station, allowing visitors to enjoy the city’s canals and historic streets along the way.

Important: From February 15, 2025, to February 2028, trams will not stop at Westermarkt. The nearest stop will be Dam Square, a 10-minute walk from the museum.

Visits generally last around one hour, but there is no set time limit—you may take as long as you like.

Before You Visit

The museum is a historic building with several steep staircases, which may be difficult for visitors with reduced mobility. Accessibility information is available, and staff can provide support as needed.

Museum Guidelines

To protect the artifacts and ensure a quiet experience for all guests, photography and video recording are not allowed inside the museum, including the use of smart glasses or wearable cameras.

How long can I stay in the museum?

Your ticket has a fixed entry time, but once inside the Anne Frank House, you can explore at your own pace. Visits generally last around one hour.

Can I take photographs or videos?

Photography and filming are not allowed to protect the museum’s original artifacts and to maintain a respectful environment for all visitors.

Are guided tours available?

Guided tours are not offered, but a free audio tour is available in nine languages: Dutch, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, French, Italian, Japanese, and Hebrew.

Is there a cloakroom?

Yes, there is a free cloakroom for coats, strollers, prams, and small bags up to A4 size.

Can I bring large backpacks or suitcases?

No. Large bags are not permitted inside the museum. Visitors should leave them at their hotel or deposit them at Central Station to avoid being denied entry.
